Developmental Editing
This editing looks at the big picture of the story. It edits the story's ideas, concepts, and content.
I will look at Word Document for:
- Plot
- Characters
- Structure
- Craft
You will get:
- A letter detailing strengths and weaknesses of each of the categories above, including many subcategories (including but not limited to: story arc, flow, conflict and tension, character development, scene structure, and chapter structure).
- A basic outline of the plot and events.
- Some in-text comments to highlight areas talked about in the letter.

$25 USD per 1,000 words*
This edit will consist of two complete reads by the editor with revisions made in between readings by the author and a thirty-minute consultation call.

Line Editing
This editing looks at the little pictures of the story. It edits how the story is told by looking at details and language.
I will look at Word Document for:
- Wording
- Flow
- Readability
- Style
You will get:
- A short letter detailing suggested changes in each of the categories above, including many subcategories (including but not limited to: word choice/phrasing, sentence structure, consistency, transitions, pacing, language use, tone, chronological order, and clarity).
- In-text comments on the document with suggestions.
