I love this book. I love how it is laid out. I love how easy it is to read and understand. I love the accompanying photos.
This book is packed full of valuable information all riders can use. It gives an understanding of how the horse's body works and why you should do things one way and not another.
The stretches described are easy to understand and my horses have been loving their incorporation into our routine.
Before this book I knew saddle fit was important, but I never knew what a good fit looked like compared to a bad fit. I now have a better understanding of saddle fit.
Probably the most valuable piece of information I got from this book, which I've raved about numerous times on Instagram, is to canter stiff horses before doing trot work. I cannot express how much doing this has helped Trinity! My mind was blown the first handful of rides we tried this because I could not believe the difference in her trot before and after cantering.
I love how it gives you a good idea of how to get your horse back in shape.
Chiropractic has helped me immensely with headaches, but even after seeing my current amazing chiropractor for over a year, there were still things I didn't know and this book taught me a lot about chiropractic.
I still have to try the chiropractic exercises with my horses.
I also learned a lot about my own body. Some of the stretches and exercises I have already been doing, but there are still so many others I want to try out. Admittedly I'm a little intimidated by how many there are, but my idea is to incorporate them one at a time into my daily stretching routine - I just need to open the book when I stretch now!
I have only applied a little bit of the information from this book to my and my horses' lives, but we are already seeing the benefits.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who rides horses!
Thank you, Dr. Danielle Shugard, Dr. Madelyn Rauch, and Heather Wallace. I will keep this book close at all times and use it for every horse I encounter in the future.
